In SoundWalkScape, the first studio which took place at the Giardino Sonoro (www.giardinosonoro.com), I attempted to define and document certain physical/corporeal expressions induced by the sono-spatial forms of the garden during the listening and the physical experience.
Creating a rapport with the spatial element and the "rhythmicity" of the location, I interpreted and re-arranged the presence of the sonorous input exploiting virtuous techniques in stereophonic recording, active and performed in movement.
The results are numerous. First of all, the will to provide a sort of gestural base which guarantees a conscious and participated fruition, a fruition which takes part in the mechanisms of multi-composition elaborated by the Giardino Sonoro team (botanic, acoustic, light, and object installment composition …). In the second location, starting from the lived documentation, active field recording, translator of the parameters of livability of the place, and translator of the motor-rhythmic dynamics that the location implicates, to deduce and formulate new approaches for the mixing and sonorous projection which needs to be applied in immersive activities and sensory-rehabilitative installations.Download full document in PDF format.
