The workshop is open to anybody who is concerned with the possibilities of interaction between sound, space and listening.
The main aim of the workshop is to offer, through direct experience, a wide range of listening techniques in order to lead participants to relate to sound as concrete presence, a material vibration that affects both self and space perception.
Practicing different listening modes and exercises, participants are invited to pay attention to bass frequencies, sound direction, natural reverbs, as well as to the body’s position in space, the loudspeaker’s placement, and the external soundscape.
The workshop has been presented, amongst others, to the Drama Department, University of Exeter, UK; Department of Contemporary Dance, Concordia University, Montréal, Canada; Master in Scenography, CSSD, London, UK.
